This is My Story on Succeeding Against All Odds And How You Can Too… it all started on The Past 2015. That year was a very challenging year for me and my husband, but still during that time we were able to succeed at all odds and think it’s time I share my story with you. I strongly believe that whatever circumstances we have in life there is always a silver lining and and opportunity to grow, evolve and achieve greatness.
Now allow me to elaborate a bit, so this all make sense to you!
Everything started on 2014, I had been working with a Coach so I could better my game and achieve some goals with my Network Marketing Business and at the time he suggested me to attend Tony Robbin’s Event: Unleash The Power Within (AKA UPW) And I inmediately I got two tickets, one for my husband and one for me. We were scheduled to go on March of 2016.
On November 2015 in a regular medical check up I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Disease… I couldn’t believe my ears, I was in complete shock, I was feeling completely ok and yet my Doctor was telling me “my body was killing me and it would win”, what a disheartening thing to say!
March came and we had to reschedule our UPW for June since my husband had to attend a project overseas…I had no idea but the most challening part had not come just yet. On May 12th we received some bad news, my mother in law had suffered a brain stroke. My husband who was on his way back home from Texas was devastated and he was only able to pick up a few stuff and leave the same night. After a few days I flew to Venezuela to support him. However, I arrived with massive inflammation in both arms, so bad, that I barely could manipulate knife and fork. That forced me to go to the Doctor over there and run some tests.
And that’s when everything changed… the Doctor gave me a diagnosed of Polymyositis a disease so rare that only 1/100000 per year are diagnosed with it. He was the Ultimate Dream Stealer! A few weeks passed and when I came back to my home in the States, I saw the Doctor again and I was tested again. The diagnosed changed to Viral Myositis…
And then the moment to go to UPW arrived, I honestly went because I had the tickets, and I had little to no idea, what to expect, I would not imagine how that event would change my life, how what I experienced there would give me hope, and how despite all odds, 2015 was the year when I was able to achieve several goals in my network marketing business, when my husband was also able to achieve some massive success with his business…

The Truth about MLM Sponsoring is that is a process, a lot like trying to find a piece of Gold: among all the people you have sponsored you will find your piece or pieces of Gold. Who would be considered a piece of Gold? Somebody who requires low maintenance and is a high producer in your team. However, let's focus on the process through which you will find these people.
The Truth about MLM Sponsoring...
MLM recruiting or Network Marketing Sponsoring - personally prefer the later term- is not a flawless process, not everybody that you sponsor will stay. Just think about a bucket with a hole in the bottom. In that bucket you will put all your sand, dirt, water and pieces of gold too... these are all your customers, team members, biz partners and those who are your highest producers. Some of them will be lost through that hole. Can you do something about it? Absolutely YES. You determine the size of the hole on how you treat people: be as nice as possible, treat others with courtesy and respect. Always. Will this eliminate the hole? NO, in some cases regardless of what you do, some people will leave, just understand it is part of the process and if you did your best, then you know it has nothing to do with you.
When looking for that piece of Gold, avoid being anxious, or desperate to find it... instead focus on the Fun and you'll see how the process will be a joyful one and when you find that piece of Gold you will even be surprised because it will come when you least expect.
Look for gold everyday, don't fall into the trap of thinking that looking occasionally is enough... practice as much as you can, the most successful people practice everyday. Those who are serious gold miners look for gold UNTIL they find it. Treat your MLM Business the same way, keep "practicing" until you find your gold. Yes, there will be days, that you might feel tired or even frustrated of looking and not finding, but remember, this process is allowing you to learn self esteem, self control and cooperation.
And last but not least, the attitude comes before the paycheck. See yourself, feel and behave as if you are a piece of gold yourself so you can attract more to you.

The past weekend I attended a major Personal Development Event from My Company
where I took some amazing notes I'll be sharing with you. On Day #1 our Director of Training ~who is an absolute master on Cold Prospecting for Network Marketing~ taught us why cold prospecting is important as well as some cold prospecting techniques.
But first, let's talk about what other "markets" are out there? you might be new in the industry and
possibly confused with all this terms as I was when I got started, or maybe you have been in the industry for sometime and still are confused on what is the difference, who you should talk to first, why, and if you ever
should cold prospect.
Here is a Brief Description of Each One...
The Hot Market: is composed by people close to us, like family members or friends. Just imagine... you are driving in the middle of the night, your car brakes down, you know you need help, who would you call first? that person is part of your hot market. 🙂 No matter what company, product or service you are affiliated with, my recommendation is you go to talk to them first. The reason is simple, if you make mistakes ~ as we tend to do specially if we are super new in the industry~ because they are close to you, they will forget about it. It is very likely even if they don't join you ~at least initially~that your relationship won't be affected in any way... would your mom stop talking to you even if she doesn't join your opportunity? I guess you know the answer. 😉
The Warm Market: these are people we know and they know us, but we don't have a close relationship with.This could be people you see in a daily basis at the coffee shop, or somebody who you see at the gym. You move someone from the Warm Market to the Hot Market by developing a relationship. You also can expect to have a higher closing ratio with your hot market and warm market than your cold market because they know you. With my product/company it is as high as 6 out of 10 (Crazy right? no I'm not kidding!...and it's true, all my hot market in the USA are my customers or biz partners)
The Cold Market: these are basically strangers. People you don't know who come across in your daily life randomly and sometimes you don't get to see again. For example, the waitress who took your order in the last restaurant you ate. Somebody you briefly talked to in the store and so on.
The closing ratio with cold market is 1 out of 10. A lot lower than with hot and warm market, but why is that? People buy from people they know, like and trust and with cold market the levels of trust are not that high since they don't know you enough. At this point you might be wondering, if it's so low, why even bother?
The Reason, is simply because at some point you will run out of your hot/warm market.... and guess what, the only way to expand your "list", to have more potentials joining your business or becoming your clients is talking to your cold market. So learning some Cold Prospecting Techniques is definitely something I recommend to everybody in order to keep growing their business successfully.
Basics on Cold Prospecting
Cold Prospecting is easier than you think, here are some basics so you can have a better idea of how does this work:
- Don't go out to Prospect... prospect when you go out to do what you always do. That way you won't feel weird and the people you talk to won't get that odd vibe either.
- You are not looking for anybody specifically, you are "evaluating them" .Keep in mind not everybody is a great prospect.
A few tips on how to connect...
Compliment: establishing the first connection. If your waitress or barista is really outstanding you can compliment her on doing such a an amazing job, but wouldn't sound real if she wasn't right? You can compliment on anything, performance, accessories, apparel, etc. Just keep in mind to be genuine and sincere.
Ask questions: evaluating your potential prospect. Ask questions to connect with them and find out what kind of people they are, what interests they have, to find their pain or what they love, and see if they could be a fit for your your business, product or service.
Ask for their contact info: building the relationship. You can ask for email, work phone, or personal phone. I suggest ask whatever makes you and them feel more comfortable. (One of my mentors prefers to ask for emails, while others ask for phone, so any choice is good! )

Everybody speaks about the importance of having a why, not that it is not important. It is! However there is “something” else that is key and even more powerful than a why alone… it has to do with your VISION.
How Do You Envision Yourself? How do you see yourself a few years from now? Do you see yourself getting to your goal? Can you feel that emotion as if it was happening now? (BTW, If any of these questions have no answer, we need to start working on that Vision right away!)

I share very passionately one of my professional achievements and details on my vision and how that helped me succeed. If it hadn’t been for that I wouldn’t have finished the race. I wanted to quit so many times, I almost did… but instead I stayed in course and finally my Vision became a Reality. The importance of having a vision goes beyond strategy and why alone, it is the fire burning within you that will keep you moving forward when everything else seems to fail.

Your life is shaped by every decision you make, Decision Making affects every aspect including Business and Finances as well. Not sure how it’s been for you but Making Quick Business Decision is something that my husband and I have struggled with in the past. The reason? We BOTH have an analytical type of personality but we also tend to be a little bit perfectionist…well, to be more accurate the perfectionist would be me… 🙂 and not just a little bit!
However, we have come to the realization that we needed to learn how to make decisions quickly. Why? because taking too long to decide has actually been counterproductive for us in some aspects which I talk in more detail in the video below.
How We Became Better at Making Decisions?
When you are a perfectionist, taking too long to decide is nothing more than fear of failure. You are always looking for the best outcome in your mind, so, the way we became better at taking decisions was actually EMBRACING the thing we feared the most: “failure”… embracing the fact that we might not achieve the results we wanted… but after all, that possibility is always present anyways! taking more time doesn’t eliminate it. No matter how long you take to decide, that possibility will always exist… and yes, if failure in reality doesn’t exist, but a learning process instead, then, why take so long?!
So from super Slow Decision Making Mode we turned to a Faster Decision Making Speed.
